Minnesota High School Basketball - New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva nips Belle Plaine
January 30, 2023: Belle Plaine, MN 56011 New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers (New Richland, MN) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Belle Plaine Tigers (Belle Plaine, MN), 62-55 in a league bout.
With the victory, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Panthers host Maple River (Mapleton, MN) to play the Eagles in a AA Section 2 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 11-7. Maple River lost 69-47 in their recent non-league bout against Randolph (Randolph, MN)
Next up, the Tigers play the Sibley East Wolverines (Arlington, MN) in a AA Section 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Belle Plaine will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 61-45 non-league loss to St. Mary's (Sleepy Eye, MN).
