Minnesota High School Basketball - Waseca tops Belle Plaine
February 16, 2023: Waseca, MN 56093 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Waseca Bluejays (Waseca, MN) and the visiting Belle Plaine Tigers (Belle Plaine, MN), saw Waseca's basketball squad knock off Belle Plaine by a tally of 51-35.
With the victory, Waseca improves its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Bluejays host Maple River (Mapleton, MN) to play the Eagles in a AA Section 2 challenge on Tuesday, February 21. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 15-9. Maple River won 51-50 in their recent league challenge against Sibley East (Arlington, MN)
Next up, the Tigers play the Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] Titans (Montgomery, MN) in a AA Section 2 challenge, on Friday, February 17. Belle Plaine will attempt to improve on its 5-19 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 11-13 record after their 57-51 non-league win over Lester Prairie (Lester Prairie, MN).
