January 30, 2024: Lake Park, MN 56554 Mahnomen/Waubun Thunderbirds (Mahnomen, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lake Park-Audubon Raiders (Lake Park, MN), 86-63 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mahnomen/Waubun upgrades its record to 8-15 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] (Climax, MN) to play the Knights in a A Section 8 bout on Thursday, February 1. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-20. Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] lost 103-48 in their recent league bout against Win-E-Mac (Erskine, MN)
Next up, the Raiders play the Bagley Flyers (Bagley, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Lake Park-Audubon will attempt to upgrade on its 5-18 season record. The Flyers go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 87-49 league loss to Fertile-Beltrami (Fertile, MN).
