North Carolina High School Basketball - Piedmont Classical overwhelms Millennium
January 30, 2024: Mount Airy, NC 27030 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Piedmont Classical Bobcats (Browns Summit, NC) and the host Millennium Lions (Mount Airy, NC), saw Piedmont Classical's basketball squad wallop Millennium by a tally of 89-20.
With the victory, Piedmont Classical improves its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Winston-Salem Prep (Winston-Salem, NC) to confront the Phoenix in a 1A Northwest Piedmont challenge on Friday, February 2. The Phoenix come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. Winston-Salem Prep won 87-53 in their recent league challenge against Bethany (Summerfield, NC)
Next up, the Lions confront the Triad Math and Science Academy Bengals (Greensboro, NC) in a 1A Northwest Piedmont challenge, on Friday, February 2. Millennium will attempt to improve on its 1-16 season record. The Bengals come into the challenge with a 2-15 record after their 62-51 league loss to Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC).
