North Carolina High School Basketball - Southeast Halifax crushes Weldon

January 30, 2024: Halifax, NC 27839

Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC), 81-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Southeast Halifax upgrades its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC) to play the Pride in a bout on Thursday, February 1. The Pride come into the bout with a record of 3-9. KIPP Pride lost 41-39 in their recent non-league bout against Northampton County (Gaston, NC)

Next up, the Chargers play the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Weldon will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 57-49 non-league win over Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC).
