The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Temple Wildcats (Temple, TX) and the host Midway Panthers (Waco, TX), observed Temple's basketball team overcome Midway by a count of 72-60.

With the victory, Temple advances its record to 15-14 on the year. The Wildcats host Harker Heights (Harker Heights, TX) to meet the Knights in a 6A Region II District 12 battle on Tuesday, February 3. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 24-6. Harker Heights won 64-42 in their recent league battle against Bryan (Bryan, TX)

The Panthers now own a 7-21 record. They put it on the line next when they host Copperas Cove for a 6A Region II District 12 battle on Tuesday, February 3. Midway will meet a Bulldawgs squad coming off a 61-58 league win over Temple (Temple, TX). The Bulldawgs record now stands at 17-9.
