The Bryan Vikings toppled the host Midway Panthers basketball team by a tally of 70-53 in Saturday's league game.

The Vikings now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they travel to Harker Heights for a 6A Region II District 12 game on Tuesday, January 6. Bryan will play a Knights team coming off a 85-81 league loss to Shoemaker (Killeen, TX). The Knights record now stands at 18-5.

With the loss, Midway moves to 6-15 on the season. The Panthers travel to Temple (Temple, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 6A Region II District 12 test on Tuesday, January 6. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 11-11. Temple lost 60-39 in their recent league test against Copperas Cove (Copperas Cove, TX)
