Illinois High School Basketball - Cornerstone Christian crushes Lowpoint-Washburn
January 31, 2022: Bloomington, IL 61705 Cornerstone Christian Cyclones (Bloomington, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lowpoint-Washburn Wildcats (Washburn, IL), 75-37 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Cornerstone Christian upgrades its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Cyclones travel to DeLand-Weldon (DeLand, IL) to play the Eagles in a East Central Illinois bout on Tuesday, February 1. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 0-16. DeLand-Weldon lost 56-19 in their recent non-league bout against La Salette Academy (Georgetown, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Calvary Christian Academy Knights (Normal, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 3. Lowpoint-Washburn will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 61-30 non-league win over Blue Ridge (Farmer City, IL).
