Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), 72-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lockport upgrades its record to 14-11 on the season. The Porters host Sandburg (Orland Park, IL) to play the Eagles in a SouthWest Suburban - Blue bout on Friday, February 4. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-16.

Next up, the Steelmen play the Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) in a SouthWest Prairie bout, on Tuesday, February 1. Joliet Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-22 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 2-17 record after their 65-42 league loss to Romeoville (Romeoville, IL).
