January 31, 2023: Arcola, TX 77583 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Iowa Colony Pioneers (Arcola, TX) and the visiting Brazosport Exporters (Freeport, TX), saw Iowa Colony's basketball squad overcome Brazosport by a tally of 58-41.
With the victory, Iowa Colony improves its record to 25-3 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Stafford (Stafford, TX) to confront the Spartans in a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge on Friday, February 3. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 23-7. Stafford won 85-39 in their recent league challenge against Brazosport (Freeport, TX)
Next up, the Exporters confront the Columbia Roughnecks (West Columbia, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Brazosport will attempt to improve on its 4-18 season record. The Roughnecks come into the challenge with a 9-19 record after their 50-31 league loss to La Marque (La Marque, TX).
