The Surprise Valley Hornets (Cedarville, CA) basketball felled the host Burney Raiders (Burney, CA), 51-34 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Hornets (13-5) will now prepare for their test against Dunsmuir (Dunsmuir, CA). The Tigers go into the Evergreen test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Dunsmuir thwarted Big Valley (Bieber, CA), 61-60, in a league test.

The Raiders now own a 2-16 record. They play next when they host Portola for a Five Star test on Friday, February 3. Burney will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 71-63 league win over Chester (Chester, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 17-4.
