Vermont High School Basketball - Vergennes holds off Milton
January 31, 2023: Vergennes, VT 05491 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Vergennes Commodores (Vergennes, VT) and the visiting Milton Yellowjackets (Milton, VT), saw Vergennes's basketball squad hold off Milton by a tally of 46-41.
With the victory, Vergennes improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Commodores travel to Missisquoi Valley (Swanton, VT) to confront the Thunderbirds in a Lake challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Thunderbirds come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Missisquoi Valley lost 52-41 in their recent league challenge against Milton (Milton, VT)
Next up, the Yellowjackets confront the Enosburg Falls Hornets (Enosburg Falls, VT) in a Mountain challenge, on Saturday, February 4. Milton will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 64-39 league loss to North Country Union (Newport, VT).
