Oregon High School Basketball - Westview nudges Mountainside
January 31, 2023: Portland, OR 97229 In Tuesday's league outing, the Westview Wildcats (Portland, OR) basketball squad edged the visiting Mountainside Mavericks (Beaverton, OR), by a count of 49-47.
The Wildcats (6-11) will now prepare for their outing against Mountain View (Bend, OR). The Cougars go into the 5A Intermountain outing with a 16-7 record. In their last outing, Mountain View held off Summit (Bend, OR), 71-64, in a league outing.
The Mavericks now hold a 11-6 record. They play next when they travel to Beaverton for a 6A Metro outing on Friday, February 3. Mountainside will clash with a Beavers squad coming off a 74-67 league loss to Jesuit (Portland, OR). The Beavers record now stands at 12-6.
