Illinois High School Basketball - South Elgin tops West Chicago
January 31, 2023: South Elgin, IL 60177 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the South Elgin Storm (South Elgin, IL) and the visiting West Chicago Wildcats (West Chicago, IL), saw South Elgin's basketball squad knock off West Chicago by a tally of 61-42.
With the victory, South Elgin improves its record to 16-9 on the campaign. The Storm travel to Bartlett (Bartlett, IL) to play the Hawks in a Upstate Eight challenge on Friday, February 3. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 13-8. Bartlett won 70-36 in their recent league challenge against Streamwood (Streamwood, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL) in a Upstate Eight challenge, on Friday, February 3. West Chicago will attempt to improve on its 5-19 season record. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 76-63 league loss to Larkin (Elgin, IL).
