North Carolina High School Basketball - Bartlett Yancey knocked off by Jordan-Matthews
January 31, 2024: Yanceyville, NC 27379 The Jordan-Matthews Jets basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers to 39 in the Jets league triumph on Wednesday.
The Jets now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Southeast Alamance for a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina contest on Friday, February 2. Jordan-Matthews will battle a Stallions team coming off a 76-52 non-league win over Western Alamance (Elon, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 9-10.
The Buccaneers (4-12) will now prepare for their bout against North Moore (Robbins, NC). The Mustangs go into the 1A/2A Mid-Carolina bout with a 5-12 record. In their last bout, North Moore was knocked off by Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC), 44-36, in a league bout.
