North Carolina High School Basketball - Northwood overwhelms Jordan-Matthews
January 26, 2024: Pittsboro, NC 27312 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC) and the visiting Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), saw Northwood's basketball squad wallop Jordan-Matthews by a tally of 66-37.
With the victory, Northwood improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC) to confront the Buccaneers in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Bartlett Yancey lost 74-55 in their recent league challenge against Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC)
Next up, the Jets confront the North Moore Mustangs (Robbins, NC) in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Jordan-Matthews will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 54-51 league loss to Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC).
