Illinois High School Basketball - Riverside-Brookfield tops Leo
January 31, 2024: Riverside, IL 60546 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Riverside-Brookfield Bulldogs (Riverside, IL) and the visiting Leo Lions (Chicago, IL), saw Riverside-Brookfield's basketball squad knock off Leo by a tally of 62-54.
With the victory, Riverside-Brookfield improves its record to 21-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Westmont (Westmont, IL) to play the Sentinels in a Metro Suburban challenge on Friday, February 2. The Sentinels come into the challenge with a record of 16-9. Westmont won 47-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family (Downers Grove, IL)
Next up, the Lions play the Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL) in a Chicago Catholic - Blue challenge, on Friday, February 2. Leo will attempt to improve on its 11-14 season record. The Ramblers come into the challenge with a 22-5 record after their 66-46 non-league win over IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL).
