January 31, 2024: Montague, MI 49437 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the North Muskegon Norsemen (North Muskegon, MI) and the host Montague Wildcats (Montague, MI), saw North Muskegon's basketball squad hold off Montague by a count of 47-45.
With the victory, North Muskegon upgrades its record to 15-0 on the campaign. The Norsemen host Mason County Central (Scottville, MI) to play the Spartans in a Western Michigan Lakes - Rivers challenge on Friday, February 2. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 8-9. Mason County Central lost 59-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Reed City (Reed City, MI)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Orchard View Cardinals (Muskegon, MI) in a Western Michigan Lakes - Lakes challenge, on Friday, February 2. Montague will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 57-43 non-league win over Hesperia (Hesperia, MI).
