New York High School Basketball - Walton can't hold off Taft
January 31, 2024: Bronx, NY 10457 The Taft Golden Eagles basketball team scored 75 points and restricted the visiting Walton Wildcats to 73 in the Golden Eagles non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gompers for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Taft will battle a Panthers team coming off a 76-59 non-league loss to DeWitt Clinton (Bronx, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 7-6.
The Wildcats (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Roosevelt Educational (Bronx, NY). The Roughriders come into the PSAL AAA Bronx contest with a 2-9 record.
