Maryland High School Basketball - Patuxent nips Calvert
January 31, 2024: Prince Frederick, MD 20678 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD) and the host Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), saw Patuxent's basketball squad hold off Calvert by a tally of 35-34.
With the victory, Patuxent improves its record to 4-13 on the campaign. The Panthers host Great Mills (Great Mills, MD) to play the Hornets in a Southern Maryland challenge on Friday, February 2. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 11-5. Great Mills won 46-43 in their recent league challenge against Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD)
Next up, the Cavaliers play the Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Friday, February 2. Calvert will attempt to improve on its 2-15 season record. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a 4-7 record after their 53-27 league loss to Northern (Owings, MD).
