In Wednesday's league match, the host Westlake Wolverines basketball team scored a decisive 53-28 triumph over the Patuxent Panthers.

In their next game, the Wolverines meet the Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD) in a Southern Maryland match, on Friday, January 19. Westlake will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Raiders enter the match with a 8-4 record after their 54-15 league win over La Plata (La Plata, MD).
