In Friday's league contest, the host Alleghany Trojans basketball team scored a close 61-58 triumph over the North Stokes Vikings.

The Trojans (10-9) will now prepare for their contest against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals go into the 1A Northwest contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, East Wilkes was tipped by South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 71-61, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings confront the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) in a 1A Northwest contest, on Tuesday, February 4.
