The Meigs Marauders basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Vinton County Vikings to 41 in the Marauders league triumph on Friday.

The Marauders now possess a 16-1 record. They play next when they host Alexander for a Tri-Valley I game on Tuesday, February 4. Meigs will confront a Spartans team coming off a 67-51 non-league win over Federal Hocking (Stewart, OH). The Spartans record now stands at 6-12.

With the loss, Vinton County falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host Nelsonville-York (Nelsonville, OH) to confront the Buckeyes in a Tri-Valley I game on Saturday, February 1.
