December 17, 2024: Albany, OH 45710 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Meigs Marauders (Pomeroy, OH) and the host Alexander Spartans (Albany, OH), observed Meigs's basketball team knock off Alexander by a score of 72-53.
The Marauders (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Belpre (Belpre, OH). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Belpre prevailed over Trimble (Glouster, OH), 65-61, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Crooksville Ceramics (Crooksville, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 21. Alexander will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Ceramics come into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 81-48 league loss to Maysville (Zanesville, OH).
