Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Penns Valley Area holds off Somerset

January 31, 2025: Spring Mills, PA 16875

In Friday's league contest, the host Penns Valley Area Rams basketball team scored a close 66-59 triumph over the Somerset Eagles.

The Rams (11-7) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Martinsburg, PA). The Dragons go into the Laurel Highlands contest with a 2-15 record. In their last contest, Central was tipped by Westmont Hilltop (Johnstown, PA), 44-29, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Forest Hills Rangers (Sidman, PA) in a Laurel Highlands contest, on Monday, February 3. Somerset will attempt to better on its 6-12 season record. The Rangers go into the contest with a 11-7 record after their 63-29 league win over Philipsburg-Osceola (Philipsburg, PA).
