Texas High School Basketball - Clifton beaten by West

January 31, 2026: Clifton, TX 76634

The West Trojans were victorious over the host Clifton Cubs basketball squad by a final score of 49-41 in Saturday's league outing.

Next, the Trojans face the McGregor Bulldogs (McGregor, TX) in a 3A Region III District 17 game, on Tuesday, February 3. West will attempt to move on its 10-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 11-12 record after their 66-50 league win over Whitney (Whitney, TX).

With the loss, Clifton falls to 11-16 on the campaign. The Cubs travel to Troy (Troy, TX) to confront the Trojans in a 3A Region III District 17 outing on Tuesday, February 3. The Trojans enter the outing with a record of 9-17. Troy lost 73-37 in their recent league outing against West (West, TX)
