February 1, 2022: Stonington, CT 06379 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Stonington Bears (Stonington, CT) and the visiting Putnam Clippers (Putnam, CT), saw Stonington's basketball squad wallop Putnam by a tally of 85-35.
With the victory, Stonington improves its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Killingly (Killingly, CT) to confront the Redmen in a Eastern Connecticut II outing on Saturday, February 5. The Redmen go into the outing with a record of 7-7. Killingly lost 52-47 in their recent non-league outing against Plainfield (Central Village, CT)
The Clippers now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Wheeler for a Eastern Connecticut IV outing on Friday, February 4. Putnam will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 59-25 non-league loss to Killingly (Killingly, CT). The Lions record now stands at 9-7.
