Wolfe City Wolves (Wolfe City, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sam Rayburn Rebels (Ivanhoe, TX), 56-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Wolfe City upgrades its record to 9-15 on the season. The Wolves travel to Bland (Merit, TX) to play the Tigers in a 2A Region II District 14 bout on Friday, February 4. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 27-4. Bland won 74-40 in their recent league bout against Sam Rayburn (Ivanhoe, TX)

Next up, the Rebels play the Honey Grove Warriors (Honey Grove, TX) in a 2A Region II District 14 bout, on Friday, February 4. Sam Rayburn will attempt to upgrade on its 8-14 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 14-13 record after their 35-26 league win over Trenton (Trenton, TX).
