Maryland High School Basketball - Westlake overwhelms Calvert
February 1, 2023: Waldorf, MD 20603 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD) and the visiting Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), saw Westlake's basketball squad wallop Calvert by a count of 92-52.
With the victory, Westlake upgrades its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD) to play the Hurricanes in a Southern Maryland challenge on Friday, February 3. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Huntingtown lost 73-47 in their recent league challenge against Great Mills (Great Mills, MD)
Next up, the Cavaliers play the La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Friday, February 3. Calvert will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 67-39 league win over Patuxent (Lusby, MD).
