February 1, 2023: Aledo, IL 61231 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Princeville Princes (Princeville, IL) and the host Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL), saw Princeville's basketball squad overcome Mercer County by a tally of 44-33.
With the victory, Princeville improves its record to 21-8 on the campaign. The Princes host Annawan (Annawan, IL) to confront the Braves in a Lincoln Trail challenge on Monday, February 6. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 20-7. Annawan won 58-27 in their recent league challenge against Stark County (Toulon, IL)
Next up, the Golden Eagles confront the Galva Wildcats (Galva, IL) in a Lincoln Trail challenge, on Monday, February 6. Mercer County will attempt to improve on its 12-16 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 13-15 record after their 46-20 league loss to ROWVA/Williamsfield (Oneida, IL).
