Plattsburgh Hornets (Plattsburgh, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting AuSable Valley Patriots (Clintonville, NY), 82-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Plattsburgh upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Hornets travel to Moriah (Port Henry, NY) to play the Vikings in a Section 7 Champlain Valley II bout on Saturday, February 3. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 11-1. Moriah won 74-48 in their recent league bout against Peru (Peru, NY)

Next up, the Patriots play the Seton Catholic Central Knights (Plattsburgh, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 3. AuSable Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 44-38 league win over Chazy (Chazy, NY).
