Iowa High School Basketball - Madrid crushes Glidden-Ralston
February 1, 2024: Glidden, IA 51443 Madrid Tigers (Madrid, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Glidden-Ralston Wildcats (Glidden, IA), 84-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Madrid upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Tigers host Interstate 35 (Truro, IA) to clash with the Roadrunners in a West Central bout on Friday, February 2. The Roadrunners go into the bout with a record of 2-13. Interstate 35 lost 85-51 in their recent league bout against Des Moines Christian (Des Moines, IA)
Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Ar-We-Va/Unity Ridge Lutheran (Westside, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 2. Glidden-Ralston will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 62-57 non-league loss to Logan-Magnolia (Logan, IA).
