Iowa High School Basketball - Madrid holds off Paton-Churdan
January 25, 2024: Madrid, IA 50156 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Madrid Tigers (Madrid, IA) and the visiting Paton-Churdan Rockets (Churdan, IA), saw Madrid's basketball squad hold off Paton-Churdan by a tally of 58-53.
With the victory, Madrid improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Earlham (Earlham, IA) to confront the Cardinals in a West Central challenge on Friday, January 26. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 10-4. Earlham lost 57-42 in their recent league challenge against Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center (Guthrie Center, IA)
Next up, the Rockets confront the CAM Cougars (Anita, IA) in a Rolling Hills outing, on Friday, January 26. Paton-Churdan will attempt to advance on its 0-17 season record. The Cougars go into the outing with a 7-7 record after their 60-57 non-league win over Stanton (Stanton, IA).
