The Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) basketball nipped the host KIPP Pride Pride (Gaston, NC), 80-73 in Thursday's league test.

The Trojans (13-5) will now prepare for their test against Warren County (Warrenton, NC). The Eagles go into the 1A Tar Roanoke outing with a 6-12 record. In their last outing, Warren County was tipped by North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC), 80-48, in a league outing.
