The Northampton County Jaguars basketball team (Gaston, NC), was nudged 56-55 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC)

The Trojans now possess a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nash Central for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 13. Southeast Halifax will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 64-48 league loss to Bunn (Bunn, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-18.

The Jaguars (16-5) will now prepare for their battle against North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC). The Warriors come into the 1A Tar Roanoke battle with a 16-4 record. In their last battle, North Edgecombe edged Northwest Halifax (Littleton, NC), 82-55, in a league battle.
