Rhode Island High School Basketball - Moses Brown nips North Smithfield
February 1, 2024: Providence, RI 02906 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Moses Brown Quakers (Providence, RI) and the visiting North Smithfield Northmen (North Smithfield, RI), saw Moses Brown's basketball squad hold off North Smithfield by a tally of 56-54.
With the victory, Moses Brown improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Quakers host Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI) to play the Mounties in a Division 3 challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Mounties come into the challenge with a record of 7-7.
Next up, the Northmen play the Block Island (New Shoreham, RI) in a Division 3 challenge, on Sunday, February 4. North Smithfield will attempt to improve on its 14-3 season record. The come into the challenge with a 0-8 record after their 52-36 league loss to Davies Career & Tech (Lincoln, RI).
