The Houghton Gremlins basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Escanaba Eskymos to 46 in the Gremlins non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Gremlins now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marquette for a non-league contest on Monday, February 5. Houghton will battle a Redmen team coming off a 39-38 non-league win over Westwood (Ishpeming, MI). The Redmen record now stands at 3-9.

The Eskymos (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Gwinn (Gwinn, MI). The Modeltowners enter the non-league contest with a 1-15 record. In their last contest, Gwinn was nudged by Hancock (Hancock, MI), 47-28, in a non-league contest.
