South Dakota High School Basketball - Lower Brule can't hold off Wessington Springs
February 1, 2024: Lower Brule, SD 57548 The Wessington Springs Spartans basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Lower Brule Sioux to 42 in the Spartans league victory on Thursday.
The Spartans now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tripp-Delmont/Armour for a B Region 5 contest on Saturday, February 3. Wessington Springs will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 53-44 league win over Marty Indian (Marty, SD). The Nighthawks record now stands at 9-5.
The Sioux (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (Eagle Butte, SD). The Braves come into the non-league contest with a 4-13 record.
