Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils (Eloy, AZ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas (Maricopa, AZ), 39-6 in a league bout.

With the win, Santa Cruz Valley upgrades its record to 4-13 on the season. The Dust Devils host Chandler Prep (Chandler, AZ) to clash with the Titans in a 2A South bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 13-13. Chandler Prep lost 40-31 in their recent league bout against St. Augustine Catholic (Tucson, AZ)

Next up, the Pumas clash with the Horizon Honors Eagles (Phoenix, AZ) in a 2A South bout, on Monday, February 5. Sequoia Pathway Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 19-6 record after their 54-22 league win over Tempe Prep (Tempe, AZ).
