Maine High School Basketball - Calais knocks off Penobscot Valley
February 1, 2025: Calais, ME 04619 The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME) and the visiting Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME), observed Calais's basketball team overcome Penobscot Valley by a score of 62-45.
The Blue Devils (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Shead (Eastport, ME). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Shead dropped by Lee Academy (Lee, ME), 57-43, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Howlers battle the Stearns Minutemen (Millinocket, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. Penobscot Valley will attempt to improve on its 4-13 season record. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 57-54 non-league loss to Piscataquis (Guilford, ME).
