Washington, DC High School Basketball - Takoma Academy can't hold off Coolidge
February 1, 2025: Washington, DC 20011 Coolidge Colts (Washington, DC) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Takoma Academy Tigers (Takoma Park, MD), 66-61 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Coolidge advances its record to 16-6 on the year. The Colts host School Without Walls (Washington, DC) to face the Penguins in a DCSAA A match on Monday, February 3. The Penguins enter the match with a record of 11-11. School Without Walls won 55-45 in their recent league match against Ron Brown (Washington, DC)
The Tigers now own a 12-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calverton for a Maryland Independent match on Monday, February 3. Takoma Academy will face a squad coming off a 82-46 league loss to Avalon (Wheaton, MD). The record now stands at 4-11.
