The First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) basketball were winner over the visiting Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC), 72-52 in Saturday's league bout.

The Nighthawks now possess a 12-7 record. They play next when they travel to Hertford County for a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal bout on Tuesday, February 4. First Flight will play a Bears team coming off a 58-31 non-league loss to Bertie (Windsor, NC). The Bears record now stands at 5-10.

With the loss, Holmes falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Aces host Currituck County (Barco, NC) to play the Knights in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal bout on Tuesday, February 4.
