North Carolina High School Basketball - Holmes holds off Currituck County

The Holmes Aces basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host Currituck County Knights to 56 in the Aces league triumph on Saturday.

The Aces now have a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Lakeland for a non-league game on Monday, January 20. Holmes will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 82-45 league loss to King's Fork (Suffolk, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Currituck County falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA) to confront the Grizzlies in a non-league game on Monday, January 20. The Grizzlies go into the game with a record of 4-6. Grassfield lost 70-58 in their recent league game against Hickory (Chesapeake, VA)
