Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA), 43-42 in a league match.

With the victory, Tift County advances its record to 16-6 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Veterans (Kathleen, GA) to meet the Warhawks in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. The Warhawks enter the match with a record of 13-10. Veterans lost 62-57 in their recent league match against Northside (Warner Robins, GA)

The Vikings now own a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Richmond Hill for a AAAAAA Region 1 match on Tuesday, February 4. Lowndes will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 67-56 non-league win over Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-12.
