In Saturday's non-league test, the David City Scouts (David City, NE) basketball squad defeated the visiting Thayer Central Titans (Hebron, NE), by a final score of 56-38.

Next, the Scouts clash with the Fairbury Jeffs (Fairbury, NE) in a non-league test, on Monday, February 3. David City will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Jeffs come into the test with a 5-12 record after their 50-34 non-league loss to Johnson County Central (Tecumseh, NE).

The Titans (13-4) will now prepare for their test against Sandy Creek (Fairfield, NE). The Cougars come into the non-league test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, Sandy Creek overcame Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE), 58-42, in a non-league test.
