Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the East Union Eagles (Afton, IA) and the visiting Diagonal Maroons (Diagonal, IA), saw East Union's basketball squad hold off Diagonal by a count of 49-45.

With the victory, East Union upgrades its record to 4-12 on the campaign. The Eagles host Southeast Warren (Liberty Center, IA) to play the Warhawks in a Pride of Iowa challenge on Friday, February 3. The Warhawks come into the challenge with a record of 9-9.
