The Tempe Prep Knights basketball team (Tempe, AZ), was nudged 53-50 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Horizon Honors Eagles (Phoenix, AZ)

The Eagles now sport a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Augustine Catholic for a 2A South battle on Tuesday, February 7. Horizon Honors will battle a Wolves team coming off a 58-50 league loss to Chandler Prep (Chandler, AZ). The Wolves record now stands at 11-16.

The Knights (9-12) will now prepare for their battle against Sequoia Pathway Academy (Maricopa, AZ). The Pumas come into the 2A South battle with a 7-13 record. In their last battle, Sequoia Pathway Academy edged Santa Cruz Valley (Eloy, AZ), 89-51, in a league battle.
