Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils (Eloy, AZ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Sequoia Pathway Academy Pumas (Maricopa, AZ), 46-13 in a league bout.

With the victory, Santa Cruz Valley upgrades its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Dust Devils travel to Chandler Prep (Chandler, AZ) to play the Titans in a 2A South bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 14-11. Chandler Prep lost 59-46 in their recent league bout against St. Augustine Catholic (Tucson, AZ)

Next up, the Pumas play the Tempe Prep Knights (Tempe, AZ) in a 2A South bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Sequoia Pathway Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 2-14 record after their 53-28 league loss to Horizon Honors (Phoenix, AZ).
