Illinois High School Basketball - Downers Grove North overwhelms Proviso West
February 2, 2024: Downers Grove, IL 60515 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL) and the visiting Proviso West Panthers (Hillside, IL), saw Downers Grove North's basketball squad wallop Proviso West by a tally of 87-47.
With the victory, Downers Grove North improves its record to 22-4 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL) to play the Hilltoppers in a West Suburban - Silver challenge on Wednesday, February 7. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a record of 13-12. Glenbard West won 70-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Scales Mound (Scales Mound, IL)
Next up, the Panthers play the Hinsdale Central Red Devils (Hinsdale, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Proviso West will attempt to improve on its 8-16 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 12-13 record after their 80-47 league win over Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL).
