Louisiana High School Basketball - Lafayette nips Acadiana
February 2, 2024: Lafayette, LA 70506 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) and the host Acadiana Rams (Lafayette, LA), saw Lafayette's basketball squad hold off Acadiana by a count of 23-22.
With the victory, Lafayette upgrades its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Lions host Southside (Youngsville, LA) to play the Sharks in a 5A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Sharks come into the challenge with a record of 25-3. Southside won 65-17 in their recent league challenge against Comeaux (Lafayette, LA)
Next up, the Rams play the Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA) in a 5A District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Acadiana will attempt to upgrade on its 17-12 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 19-8 record after their 38-13 league win over Sulphur (Sulphur, LA).
